OT - World Cup Draw

I'd never count out Argentina. Aguero has played out of his mind the second half of 2013, if he can complement Messi as well as he ought to, they'll be a formidable side. South American squads as a whole should show well.

I cannot figure out Argentina for the life of me. On paper they should be up there with Brasil. On the field, they are something far less. Obviously the WC wanted Messi (Argentina) in the quarters this time around but not sure why France got gifted a free pass after barely qualifying.

I could not agree more with the distribution from the back part but idk man I think he is getting a little slow on the reactions. I was a bayern supporter when Tymoshchuk was on team not hardcore or anything though

Love your level of support for a lessor known/followed national team.

anyone going to vegas? i would put some money on the USA at those 160-1 odds..

Save that money and see if you can still grab Cuse hoops at the 20:1 odds they opened at.

1.) I like England to surprise. Italy usually starts slow, getting better as it goes along. I could see a draw there. England will do better playing outside of Europe and away from the intense media spotlight. Too bad they aren't training in the Amazon. It would have been perfect. They will have lower expectations this time around, which also works to their advantage since expectations are usually sky high for them (a la the "EASY" bracket in 2012). Pretty sure they would see Spain or Brazil in the quarters depending on how it plays out. That's probably the end of the road but I can see 3-0-1 before they get to that point.

2.) US bracket isn't as tough as it seems, as other said, and Portugal is a one man band. There's no way the US will take Ghana lightly. It's an elimination game. I don't like the Germany game. They know all JK's tricks.

3.) For filling out brackets,, expect the South American teams to outperform. I think France will fall flat even with the easy bracket and South Korea always puts on a nice show.

Can't wait.

I dont think it will be a case of outperforming, the South American sides are just damn good. Brasil is a given, Argentina has talent everywhere, Uruguay has the attack to give anyone issues and the dark horse will be Columbia. I'm not sure how many folks know about Falcao, Martinez, or Gutierrez but they will.
