The schedule actually favors us greatly. If we beat Ghana in the first game, and Germany beats Portugal, we control our destiny. Two draws would put us through (assuming Germany beats Ghana). Beat Portugal and the Germany game would be for the group.
The only thing that scares me against Portugal is our worst position having to defend Ronaldo. But Portugal sounds much scarier on paper than they are in real life.

I agree . I dont think the European teams will flourish in Brazil.there's lots of whining about it but the travel will be to our advantage. any crazy variables like that even up the playing field. as the underdog, this is good...and our training/experience lends itself to different geography types much better than anyone else in our group. Not easy by any stretch, but avoiding any south american teams is HUGE.
Ghana lost to Egypt, Japan and Mali this past year so ... They're no Germany.
Germany, on the other hand, IS Germany. Maybe we could dial up a draw in that game. If we won then anything after that would be gravy.
Loved watching Klinsman play always in the right place at the right time, and of course a clinical finisherNo one better to draw up a gameplan against Germany than a coach who was once the German wunderkind.
Hey now...You enjoy the end of that BC game inside the carrier dome? Oh, wait..
As a Bayern fan, I couldn't disagree more on Neuer. He's a tremendous keeper, and he's the best keeper in the world at distributing the ball from the back. For an interesting perspective on keepers, check out the goalkeeper stats in this link: http://www.bsports.com/leaderboards?refr=twi&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=LB05NovI believe you guys are the favorite this year even over Spain, I however do not think neur is a great keeper...
I could not agree more with the distribution from the back part but idk man I think he is getting a little slow on the reactions. I was a bayern supporter when Tymoshchuk was on team not hardcore or anything though
