Wow. What a lie by Schwarz. Said Davis felt entrapped by Fine and couldn't escape which is why he was molested until 27. He then says that Davis had to move across country to get away from it. Um he moved to go to college and stayed out there. Check the facts Schwarz!!!!!

He never ate a steak before he met Fine.

Fine was a huge figure in Syracuse? Really? He was the equivalent of Rob Murphy at the time.

She knew something was wrong but never reported it or tried to get Davis to open up?

Actually, I feel a lot better after seeing this morning's OTL--and seeing nothing new than the OTL that ran a few days ago.

I was fearful that there might be some new info, some new "witness," etc. that might be trotted out. All they're doing is just rehashing the same stuff, with Schwartz pontificating and acting as a mouthpiece for Davis and Lang.

Nada. Good sign.

In the P-S today, Davis claims that he met Fine when he was 11-12 playing basketball in Sunnycrest Park.

This contradicts his earlier claim that he met Fine selling candy door-to-door.

This contradicts Lang's claim that he introduced Davis and Fine.

I find it amazing that ESPN has allowed Schwarz to continue to totally spin this one way. The role of the media is to report the facts not to create stories and/or slant things. This has been one sided all the way. He has failed to point out the many many holes in Davis' story. And on top of that he has the nerve to put the guys ex GF on who has nothing to say. Why not put on some ex players? They actually have more credibility than she does.

Even if Fine is 110% guilty, this has been a total hatchet job by Schwarz.

Now saying Davis met Fine in 5th grade. Said they always sleep in the same bed, Bernie always fondled him and touched him every night.

Schwarz said the stories are remarkably consistent.

An inconsistency did come out this morning. Now that Lang has entered the picture, he has claimed to introduce little bro to Fine, whereas before Bobby met Bernie independently selling candy at his home.

ANYONE CATCH THE BLATANT CONTRADICTION by Davis he said previously Jim Boeheim saw them in bed together and did nothing and NOW he said how would Jim Boeheim know what was going on when he was never in room. Unbelievable awful job by Schwarz who didn't even edit a statement that hurts his own witness.

I noted this in another thread, but unfortunately the house of cards is not crumbling because everyone involved, including ESPN reporters is changing their story as we go. Schwarz himself has reported different versions of several facts in just the last few days. These allegations may be true, but this coverage is a hatachet job of the first order. Witch hunt right in front of our eyes. How about the girlfriend saying "other people are being hurt." WHERE ARE THEY?!? Three and now up to six investigations have not found anyone.

I don't think that was a contradiction. He was saying that JB did see them in bed together, which JB said he didn't do.

Then he was saying that how could JB call him a liar when he wasn't in the room when the alleged incidents took place? He never said JB witnessed Bernie molesting him, just that JB saw him in the bed or the hotel room or whatever of Bernie.

Not that I am saying he is right, but I don't think that was a contradiction. Granted, it's hard to follow this guy's story sometimes.

There is a reason these things couldnt be corroborated before. There is no DA in the world that would take this type of flimsy evidence to trial. But ESPN doesnt care. They are trying Fine in the court of public opinion. No standards there.

Wait, I am to believe that Fine's wife knew he was molesting kids (when he had kids) and did nothing except make veiled references to the babysitter? REally? I am supposed to believe that? ESPN knows we are educated people, right?

Remarkably consistent. They show Bobby in 2003 saying I felt like I owed him and that's why I let him to the things he did. Then immediately Schwartz comes on and says his story is remarkably consistent. The they cut to him in present saying Fine put his hand on his leg and down his pants and if he resisted which "he did all the time", Fine would get aggressive.

Ok so in 03 you felt like you owed him and let him and 2011 you resisted all the time. That is remarkably consistent? Come on Schwartz, at least edit the piece so it looks consistent.

Why doesn't Schwarz ask Lang why he didn't tell the truth when interviewed in '05 for this story (where he claimed nothing happened)?

No. There is a separate reply by Davis about JB calling him a liar where Davis said JB never saw anything so how would he know.

OTL has absolutely nothing new, so they just replay the same crap that amounts to little more than baseless accusations, only they do it a little more forcefully and with more insinuation. Outstanding journalism, that.
