over and back?

The refs just called it against Miami but the ball never crossed half court in the first place
I'm pretty good when it comes to rules in almost any sport, and I'm almost positive that this wasn't an over and back. I'll try to find it, but doesn't the player need to have established position in the front court with the ball, then either step on the line or cross it?

both feet and the ball

Thought the exact same thing. I looked at Larranaga but he didn't really seem to argue it. Weird.

I thought the same and was also confused on the missed FT earlier that carolina tapped to the back court. Didn't realize a tap back was legal to go to the back court.
