What exactly does it mean? Easiest 16 seed? Easiest 2 seed?

In 2010 kansas had the overall 1 seed and it was pretty much unanimous they were in the toughest bracket, and they ended up getting bounced in the 2nd round. Duke got the 3rd #1 seed and it was pretty much unanimous they were in the easiest bracket, and they ended up winning it all.

I dont think it means anything, just gimme the 1 seed in the east.

You get to wear your white uniforms throughout the tournament.

I think it just means preferential locations more than anything else.

Given the parity in college basketball, there are few easy matchups in the NCAA tournament anymore. Unless you are uconn 2011, there is no easy path to the final four / national championship.

And I'm pretty sure you get the worse number one seed on your side of the bracket, like that really means much.

Yea who cares about that, getting the worst #2 seed would be more important. Once you make the final four then who cares who you play, its gonna be a great team, unless youre uconn and get a 9 seed in the championship game lol

Duke got a cakewalk in 2010. A #4 Purdue w/o Hummel, a not ready for prime time overseeded Baylor as a #2, a #3 Villanova that was in free fall. Pretty much Duke got the worst 2,3,4 in their bracket.

I get what you're saying. Personally, I didn't think UConn would beat SDSU or Arizona last year.

it means you do not face #2 or #3 before the national champiohip

It means guaranteed East regional. It is important, but only if Duke or UNC go on a rampage to end the season and we lose at least 2 of our last 4. Duke/UNC are the only teams that would prefer the East besides us. Looking good right now.
