G'day Max,

Dino got himself an Aussie style punter. Go max protect, damn the gunners!

Negative note: That was probably one of the most useless signing day articles I've ever read. It's really stunning how little line of sight Bailey has into the program for a site beat writer.

Positive Note: I like that our new ST Coach is actively trying to reshape the Specialist roster. So far we've had Bolinksky opt in, Szmyt Opt in, offered another LS'er and now landed another Punter. Our punting was awful last year. So hopefully this kid is a major upgrade.

Not defending that article in any way. But when I did a search to see if I could find out a little more when his name popped up unexpectedly, I couldn't find anything relevant. Not even a height / weight. So there might not be much info to be had.

In fairness, I think this one came out of absolutely nowhere for everyone.
My guess is he was looking at the kid at his prior stop and said hey, about Bowling Green ... Im no longer there. Any interest in joining me at Syracuse?

There isn't, this one you would have to have staff relationships to know about. So that's fair. I don't want to muddle up this kid's commit thread, but when it comes to recruiting reporting, I just think Bailey is historically lazy/has no fire for it and having him as the site lead at 247 is a bad fit.

Our punting was so poor last year I strongly believe that we might have won one more game and gone to a bowl had we had just an average punter. The Wake Forest game definitely comes to mind given the fact that it went to overtime and considering the short fields we gave their offense.
So while I normally would not be excited about signing a punter given the fact we would probably be playing in the Fenway bowl if this kid had been on the roster I am significantly more excited than usual.

Probably right and when you are coming from Australia, what difference does Ohio or New York make?

Obviously the idea is to not use our punter much. But our program can't afford weaknesses in any area and we lost the field position game way too much last season.
