Pacific Rim

I have always wanted a movie about robots punching monsters. I've also always been partial to Idris Elba being badass and Charlie Day being Charlie Day. Because of those three things, I wholly enjoyed Pacific Rim and happily checked my brain at the door. It's a big dumb action movie, but holy crap are the robot/monster fights worth the price of admission.

I give it three out of four nerd boners.
