Palm is projecting SU to lose to ND, knocking the Orange out of NY6 contention. NC St. shouldn't lose to Lville and UNC so the camping world bowl can still use the one win rule to take the Pack over a 6-2 Cuse, BC, or possibly Pitt. The one monkey wrench for Palm is Pitt. The Panthers finish with @Wake and @Miami. If Pitt wins those two they finish 7-1 in ACC. Assuming Pitt loses to Clemson in ACC Title game the the Camping World Bowl could not take a 5-3 NC St. over a 7-1 Pitt.

I thought it was overall record not acc record that mattered?

I have resigned myself to it being Peach or Pinstripe. I hate it but we are in the ACC to try and draw interest from NYC as much as possible. It is what it is. Beat the Irish and it's the Peach.

Cheers,
Neil

I think we have to beat ND, and if we do, many things open up for SU football. We are in a pretty good place right now, it can only get better with more wins. Relevance for our football is a great thing. I would prefer a warm weather destination, but team must win for that to happen.

Opponents like Iowa state, Purdue, etc not firing me up. Last bowl we had Minnesota (I was there). I want a name program. Give me Wisconsin, Penn State in the Pinstripe or Texas Tech, Oklahoma State in the Camping World.

Don’t fact check me saying why those teams aren’t likely. I’m just saying I’d personally rather play those teams.

If we are 9-3 we will be in the Camping Bowl.
If we are 8-4 it will be Pinstripe Bowl.
If we are 10-2 it’s Fiesta or Peach.

Hopefully, although if we are 10-2 that likely means ND doesn't make the playoffs and as a result they will go to the Fiesta and we won't because they won't want to repeat a regular season game if they can avoid it.

Cheers,
Neil

If we could get Fiesta, I would be beyond the beyond. Camping world I would be extremely happy. I think we may have Pinstripe locked up and am glad of that. We have entered can not lose territory, and given our recent history we have no cause for complaint.

12 spots NY6
Rose is B1G-Pac-12 champ
Sugar is SEC-Big XII
Cotton and Orange are playoff bowls.
That leaves 4 spots.
1 for ND
1 for G5 team
2 more will be the 2 highest teams left.
Michigan-Ohio State loser goes to Rose
WVU-Oklahoma one to Sugar and the other at-large.
LSU to Sugar Bowl
Washington State to Rose Bowl
Leaves Syracuse at 10-2 the last NY6 spot is there.
WVU/OU loser, ND, SU, UCF divides among the last 2 bowls.
WVU-SU in Atlanta and ND-UCF in Arizona.
My 4 playoff teams are
Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Georgia.
Boom

One year, there is going to be a long shot underdog that comes out of no where and wins the National Championship. Why not this year, why not the Orange?

Right now I have it
Rose Bowl Ohio State-Washington State
Sugar Bowl Oklahoma-LSU
Fiesta Bowl Central Florida -Notre Dame
Peach Bowl Syracuse-West Virginia
Cotton Bowl Alabama-Michigan
Orange Bowl Clemson-Georgia

That's what I have as well. Lots of games still to be played though. Edit - except I have Alabama playing Georgia and Clemson playing Michigan. But then I have Michigan beating OSU and maybe you don't?

Cheers,
Neil

Camping World Bowl has no such restrictions as having to pick a team with a better conference record. This only applies to ND and that would be overall record. Everything I've seen says they will pick the highest ranked team available to them.

UCF will probably lose to Cinncinnati this Saturday, and that will play havoc to your scenario. They also only play 11 teams because of a hurricane cancellation, any loss is more significant because of that. If they win out your prediction looks pretty good.
