Palm still has SU in Pinstripe Bowl

UCF will probably lose to Cinncinnati this Saturday, and that will play havoc to your scenario. They also only play 11 teams because of a hurricane cancellation, any loss is more significant because of that. If they win out your prediction looks pretty good.

UCF is merely a placeholder for G5 representative in Alsacs' (and mine as well) thinking. So not a lot of havoc. Havoc is us beating the Irish. ;)

I can hear it now - "they didn't know!"

LGO!!!

Cheers,
Neil

That's what I have as well. Lots of games still to be played though. Edit - except I have Alabama playing Georgia and Clemson playing Michigan. But then I have Michigan beating OSU and maybe you don't?

Cheers,
Neil
I have Georgia beating Alabama in the SEC title game.
Thus, they would avoid a rematch in the Semifinals.
So UGA-Clemson and Bama-Michigan.
If Ohio State beat Michigan I guess WVU/OU/Ohio State are all in play.

A win over ND and the Orange will make a quantum leap to another level of existence. Well, at least to 6 or 7 in the rankings, maybe higher.

Opponents like Iowa state, Purdue, etc not firing me up. Last bowl we had Minnesota (I was there). I want a name program. Give me Wisconsin, Penn State in the Pinstripe or Texas Tech, Oklahoma State in the Camping World.

Don’t fact check me saying why those teams aren’t likely. I’m just saying I’d personally rather play those teams.

Ooooooooohh no I feel like we have a score to settle with Purdue. The only thing missing would be if someone (Cusehulk) could find Kyle Orton and kick him in the junk.

But yeah TT or Okie st would be fun.

Assume we crack the Top 12 Tuesday night. Is it conceivable that with a close loss to ND and a win over BC along with a couple of other favorable results the committee keeps us in position for a New Years Bowl? Doesn't seem to be too much of a reach.

We’re better, have a better record, ranked higher, actually ranked, and only lost because their kicker had a career day.

Pitt
And missed a 36 and 47 yard kick the next week against Notre Dame which would have won the game.

Very possible depending on how other teams near us do.

Yeah they count.
Oregon has played for 2 titles as well.
Auburn's been a power for a long time, at least a minor power. Oregon was at the peak of Kelley's Quack attack. The Orange are from out of the blue.

I don’t care where we go - I care more about who we are playing

Nah the bowl counts more than the team. I’m 20 years we will remember what bowl we went to not who we played. At that point it’s just gravy.

If we’re giving up a home game, I agree.

In this case, ND is the home team so I’m happy to play it in Yankee Stadium as opposed to at ND.
I have no problem with that but after the 2 pinstripe bowls and this game I'm yankees stadiumed out would prefer something different.
