I agree w this logic across the board. Mac's 87 season is a wine cellar season for Syracuse.
In a sliding door scenario, if Gedney pulls a Gronk and trucks into the endzone against Miami in 92, does anything change with regards to that season bowl game wise/national title implications? I mean do we finish top 3? I also think if the 5th down play vs Tenn goes another way, we probably lose to Michigan the following week b/c that's what happened then.
At the end of the season:
1. Miami vs 2. Alabama (Sugar)
3. FSU vs 11 Nebraska (Orange)
4. Texas AM vs 5 Notre Dame (Cotton)
6. Syracuse vs 10 Colorado (Fiesta).
Remember, SU already had 1 loss against Ohio State.
FSU's only loss was to Miami
Texas AM was undefeated.
Let's say SU beats Miami...
Alabama plays FSU
Miami gets Nebraska
Maybe we bump ND out of the Cotton?
