I don't think many on this board are turning their back on Fran (aside from rocfan). I figured this year would be tough and was just hoping for 6 regular season wins (but Angeli got hurt so obviously we're reeling). I just think it was a tad ridiculous to think Penn St would be coming after Fran.

The biggest take is that the team can compete on the field in way more spots but you still need a QB to be good.

Yes, we need to lock him up. He is learning still, but better to learn during a 4-5 win season than in a season where a lost game because of coaching means no playoffs.

If we don't beat clemson most of this woulnt matter. People would be saying "we always knew this was going to be the season."

The optimism was there after Clemson and why people are crashing out so much.


Sure Fran and staff has looked at times very young and inexperienced...but guess what? THEY ARE YOUNG AND INEXPERIENCED.

These people jumping off ship right now need to realize that 2026 and 2027 were always the target years for us to really develop and do something.

Has anyone heard anything regarding a contract extension? Listening to Finebaum, Josh Pate and Andy and Ari all claim that Fran is in the top 3 for multiple jobs including: Penn St, Florida and Florida St (when that opens up).

I think we need to get an extension done asap in order to retain him. Without him, I don’t what we do at this point. Would be a huge step back in the momentum we have for recruiting.
