Totaly agree, knew when they didnt call the late hit on GS. IT WAS RIGGED...,IM USUALLY NOT SAYING THIS ABOUT THE REFS BUT THIS WAS OBVIOUS..WAY TOO MANY CALLS WHEN WE WERE CONTROLLING THE FIELD4 holdings on us too. None of them after a blatant one not called on them before their field goal to end the first half.
Two late hits out of bounds in a span of three plays (forgot what WR it was but he got hit on late on the 1st down play two plays before the GS late hit) after they give Clemson a bail out late hit call that gets them a huge TD.
Blatant defensive holding on our one third down just past midfield in the third quarter.. not called. But they hit us with a ludicrous PI late in the game to let Clemson take more time off and get them a FG to make it a 6-point lead. I mean even on that overturned catch on our last drive Clemson had a far bigger PI not called.
I've wanted out of the ACC since pretty much year 3 when I saw how corrupt the refs are and nothing has changed in 10 years. They'll always favor certain schools.
Shoulda ran an RPO thoWas upset about that at the time. 4th and 3 isn't 4th and 1.
As a basketball fan, and NFL fan, feel free to disregard but I thought the one on them was obvious, but not the one on us.
Schraeder had already gotten rid of the ball. Was at least 2 steps out of bounds. I could live with them not calling it, but seemed kinda obvious.
Clemson QB was still dancing for extra yards on the sideline, in my view had no foot out of bounds yet, and no whistle had blown - so, seems like open season still. Like, he hadn't given himself up even, he was trying to get a foot down whether he did or not seems almost irrelevant. But maybe QB protection rules????
Schraeder was way out of bounds before the throttling.
I still can't tell whether the hit was initiated. But I can see #64 from Clemson push Fuentes in the back just before he hits Klubnik. Big dudes can't exactly stop on a dime...I honestly have no idea what some of you are watching. They are going to call that hit in every game at every level.
The complaint is that we didn’t get the call when they did it to us
From watching an SEC team weekly, the reffing in that conference is notoriously bad. Losing teams always complain about the refs, but even the winning teams complain. I can’t tell how many times while waiting for the review, even the announcers are ready to overrule the on the field call, and the call doesn’t change. Sound familiar?

is it possible that the push in the back (which should have been a penalty in and of itself) contributed to Fuentes contacting Klublink?Of course big dudes can’t stop on a dime. But when you see the qb flying across the end line, they are going to call it. College and the nfl.

I think it's very difficulty to definitively attribute a win or loss to one particular play or aspect of a game. Would you agree that the officiating (both calls and non-calls) were a factor in the outcome of the game?
IMHO, we 100% lost because of penalty hell. I put 50% of that on our own dumb penalties and 50% on bad reffing. Many instances of blatent bad calls cited, but clearly they seized momentum after our late hit penalty and our momentum might have been restored had the late non-call hit on Shrader been called. Blatent unfairness on back to back drives with similar "penalties."It’s every sport, every league.
Padres fans were crying about the check swing last night.
I like complaining about refs as much as the next guy, but it’s becoming such a massive crutch online for every fans base
We didn’t lose this game due to the refs, we just didn’t

In order to win, we needed the calls to be either neutral or in our favor. It didn’t happen. It’s every sport, every league.

To say the calls that went against or, or the non-calls that would’ve benefited us, didn’t contribute to the outcome of the game is just being naïve.
It’s really hard to win at Clemson. We almost pulled it off. Turnovers in our favor, including the scoop and score. We were outmanned and had a lot going in our favor until the calls started going against us.
It is what it is. But to say the calls/non-calls didn’t factor into the outcome of the game is just an attempt to be sanctimonious.
“We didn’t lose the game because of the refs, we just didn’t”Where did I say they didn’t factor? Can you quote me?
“We didn’t lose the game because of the refs, we just didn’t”
A northern ACC school will never, never get a 50-50 call late in a game that matters against UNC, NC State or Clemson.I'm sure still shots will show up but I didn't think the QB was OB. Flashbacks to the NW game years ago.
What was clear was GS being OB after getting rid of the ball. You can call both or you can call neither but you can't no call the more blatant and call the other.
That said ACC refs always gonna ACC ref. We shouldn't have given them the chance to matter.
You conceded this:Correct we didn’t lose the game because of the refs.
Never said they weren’t a factor in the game.
