Penn State Hypocrisy

Yes, without question.
Then you don’t know much about Penn State.

I could write a book, but the school didn’t even change enough to think it was a good idea to hire a president or football coach who weren’t directly involved in an alleged rape coverup shortly before getting PSU’s job offer. The school also did everything that it could to play accounting games with the NCAA fine (which ended up being a joke in the grand scheme of things). Every person on the BoT (including the governor) either resigned or was not re-elected. The guys who were wrote campaign statements that deified Joe (read the position statements ... they’re nuts). The institution of the school (not just a handful of admins) cared so little between when the story was reported in the school newspaper in March until the next September-ish that Jerry was still going to freaking football games. The fan base (and career admins) have also turned into a zealous cult bent on preserving the football team at all costs.

There have been no changes.

PSU football deserved the death penalty, put the program on ice for 3 to 5 years. Then let the rebuild begin. It didn't happen leaving PSU stained forever.

The institution is too “gone” to save itself. The NCAA dropped the ball by not doing its one job - likely because it’s too “gone” to save itself.

Except for the thousands of supporters who still worship at the altar of JoPa, consider him a saint and created the culture that led to the perception that it was the Penn State football program that was the true victim of Sandusky's atrocities. I will never give the PSU the slightest benefit of the doubt until the Paterno name is stripped from anything associated with the University.

the whole program should have been shut down. MSU and Baylor too
