Given timing it doesn't feel like he got "the talk" but rather was seeing who was coming on the horizon and made the call to try and find a better fit for him.

We can certainly overcome this loss but it would have been nice to keep and develop him. Great attitude and motor, neither of which we could take for granted after the last 2 years. The shot was getting better and he was getting better acclimated to the speed of the game. The portal takes away the joy of watching guys get better. He was all in on a return but then he feared losing playing time to new arrivals, which is completely understandable and likely.
