Top 50 players have a very good hit rate for us. McCullough was a first round NBA pick and got hurt for us, so tough to judge, but those that completed at least one full season at SU had big impacts except for Coleman, who was injured all of the time. Only other one who could be considered a disappointment was Roberson, who still was a starter for us and was decently productive compared to some others.

Once you go past 50, it's hit or miss. Only Lydon really had what could be considered a good career at SU. Mintz too, even if he departs after a year.

Johnson had a good career elsewhere, Howard was an enigma but I guess was OK. Nobody else did much of anything.

All of this to say, we have three guys on next year's team that were recruited at the levels that the majority of SU's best players of the last decade were. If they could put it all together, it could be fun to watch. And adding Freeman for next year will hopefully continue that trend.

Love it. Also, I know Melo says the college decision for Kiyan is gonna be up to him, but I have a hard time thinking Melo isn’t hoping Kiyan picks Orange and let’s him know that.

Pretty interesting how this whole recruitment has played out. From not making his top 5 when Boeheim was still HC to now basically being guaranteed to land him. Pretty damning evidence of how Cuse basketball under Boeheim was viewed by recruits towards the end.

I agree. Obviously, we're all curious how Autry and his staff will fare in the upcoming season, but from a recruiting standpoint, with Elijah and hopefully Donnie, that's a strong start to 2024. Bringing in J.J. and Chance, too, was strong. Just need a center for 2023-24

In all seriousness here, the most important recruit since Melo is going to be Kiyan. Kiyan will be. Top 10 player by the final class rankings he’s getting that good. He’ll be the biggest recruit for Red and for him to jumpstart his career. Not saying Kiyan is Pearl. But Kiyan has the potential to be what Pearl was to Boeheim, Kiyan could be to Red
