My issue here, NY state player or not, is that we’ve really struggled to recruit high caliber centers for the most part over a number of years. We’re not even recruiting marginal centers. We’ve been on a run of recruiting projects. That’s a problem and it needs to be adressed.

We have got hot twice. And not bad for a 3rd. Take a look what our regular season records have been over the last 5 years.
118-64 over the last five years. (And two final fours, as mentioned.). That’s an average of 23.6 wins per year. Sorry, that’s not average. Ask some average teams if they would give their left arm for that record.

I’d say we were pretty average. Double digit loses every year also. That’s not impressive

He was too sensitive.

We also want new york kids to stay in state and play for us when they are good enough.

Sounds like he's going west I suppose. It doesn't matter but the people back east ain't staying up til 1AM no matter how entertaining Walton and Pasch may be.

Hop is very good at what he does.

that is incorrect as has been detailed elsewhere repeatedly

Yeah, he goes West and he’s out of site, out of mind. I watch West Coast games about once every Red Moon.

What’s incorrect? That we’ve cornered the market on projects at center? We’ve got another on the way next year in Ajak.

12 losses per year is not good for Syracuse.

We’ve typically been a single digit loss season type of program.

As long as we are going with facts, we haven't been to two final fours in the last 5 years. If we don't go this year, and I pray we do, it will be two in 7 years. And let's stop the fooling around. We all know we haven't been Syracuse basketball in quite some time. Great tournaments. But very, dare I say, average regular seasons.

As I said, SU standards are not the same as what most teams experience.

Getting into the tournament with a double digit seed 2 times and missing the tournament twice is pretty average for any good program. We’ve got a great final four run and a nice sweet 16 run, a strong 2014 season with a second round loss, and 2 years with no NCAAs.

One final tweet from Joey G before his game just might turn this thing sideways toward Cuse.

Exactly. Is it average compared to all 330 Division 1 programs? No. But it is for us.

Getting or not getting Stewart will not change my SU fandom one iota. And I am not ashamed to say I have enjoyed watching make their recent tournament runs. You see, I prefer to celebrate SU's victories and successes than to dwell on their losses and failures. Come help SU win IS!
