Just to note I don’t see a lot of social media connection between our staff and Colonel.

Sure... but we already have a guy who sounds a lot like this. Not sure we need two, when we still might need a starting-caliber pivot.

There's only so much room at the inn, and so much NIL $$$ available. Plus, we don't need four centers.

What constitutes a starting caliber pivot to you that this gent doesn't have?

Why not have 2 guys play an aggressive 20 mins each and have 10 fouls between them?

Not saying you specifically but seems a lot are chasing unicorns. Very few elite scorinf pivots are on the market and we won't ever have the money to land them. We've got to find another way.

I'm just not convinced that Goodrick is starting caliber [time will tell]. I like Siby's long term potential, but not sure we can expect much from him on the offensive side of the ball yet.

This prospect seems very similar to Siby in that respect. I would rather have the kid from Creighton, instead of add another backup. We aren't going to play three centers very often, let alone 4.

That's all I'm saying. Colonel might have the lateral mobility to defend the 4 position, but the rest of his game is lacking beyond that to play forward.

It’s a bit early with 5 days of more possible entries and ample time to work the overseas phones to jump too quick. Now is the time to have a nice chunk of change to use to get what you need and want. I don’t think we are alone in that effort even if we may not wait as long as some programs who have been radio silent in the portal or at least a quiet pulse.

Rolling the dice on Freeman seems to make the most sense at this point assuming his NIL is not an issue.

I wonder if Gerry sees Goodrick as a 5 who could swing to the 4 occasionally depending on match ups? I have no real feel for Goodrick's game to know if that is even a consideration.

When Gerry signed Goodrick to Siena he said: “He has great versatility, is physical, and really skilled. At Gannon, Tassie was a double-double machine. His mobility separates him from a lot of guys his size. I still think there's a ton of upside for him to grow, because he has a great shooting stroke to expand his game."

That's fair. I don't expect much from Siby year one... maybe 5-10 mins. I see a guy like Colonel as much further along. I see this guy, or someone of his stature or Folefac to pair with White, Goodrich, etc to eat minutes and clear boards for defensive stops.

It’s a bit early with 5 days of more possible entries and ample time to work the overseas phones to jump too quick. Now is the time to have a nice chunk of change to use to get what you need and want. I don’t think we are alone in that effort even if we may not wait as long as some programs who have been radio silent in the portal or at least a quiet pulse.

For sure I'm jumping into the mix with over reactions but at least I'm paying attention to hoops again. It's been a dreadful existence of late.

We shall see what the end roster build is but we've seen enough rail thin or Charmin soft bigs. I'd just like to get some men in the paint that won't be bullied and constantly outrebounded consistently.

Give me a Rick Jackson/Otis Hill type that we can polish and I'll be happy. Give me an Arinze/Etan type and I'd be thrilled but I don't see too many guys like that around anymore. Hell give me a Craig Forth/Jeremy McNeil combo at this point... that wins us championships.

We're not that far off a nice roster. Couple big bodies (IE 230+ vs 205) and we are somebody. Maybe we go foreign market and get a grown ass Croat, Serb, Lithuanian, etc. that 1000 yard stares opponents into submission? Just get some enforcers to make folks question entering the lane and box out hard to back up our 6'5+ perimeter defenders.

12 piece dark bucket is 28ish, 16 piece is 34-35... 2 buckets plus sides AND drinks? That's a tax return treat. I'm a fried chicken wh*re but even I'm living that grocery store chicken life at this point except when Popeyes drops their coupons.
