Anyone with insights as to why we weren’t in it? His choice? Ours? Mutual?

Covered earlier in the thread. Variety of reasons.

Thomas is a lower rated guy [3-star], and he's only about 6-7 or so. At that size, he's a little too small to play Center for us, and we landed our top prospect in Donnie Freeman. Had we not for whatever reason, Thomas would probably have been a fallback option that we might have strongly considered.

Isn't a snub or an oversight on the coaching staffs' part. Would be nice to land a legacy like this, but we landed Freeman, so Thomas set his sights elsewhere. Can't land 'em all.

Villanova is a good place to land. Wish him the best, but if things don't work out...there's the Swider option.

I think it's just the wrong time, roster wise. He knows each of the top rated recruits in our last two classes play his position.

Etan was distant from the program for a long time. Does he still hold some kind of animosity towards SU? I never understood why he all but disappeared after graduation. He is a fan favorite. Always was, despite fouling out in the first half against GTown in 1997.

Don’t think there is room for young Mr Thomas. He isn’t a center like his father.
