Class of 2023 PF Tasman Goodrick (Australia) TRANSFERING TO SYRACUSE (4/8/26)

Good depth piece. I think people sometimes forget we need to fill out a roster up to 15 kids. I don't think Goodrick sees much time but big body and if pushed into duty has the measurables. Not saying he's the same player but this is like Diawara last year.

Here was his profile at Gannon the year before Siena, Gannon is a staple in the top 10 of all D2 and played in D2 national title game I believe

If we’re gonna load up on guys from a 3rd place MAAC team, we’d better be adding some studs as starters.

In order to do that, you also have to add relatively inexpensive depth pieces. I would expect that this guy was relatively low cost in terms of NIL, but could provide depth in the pivot.

Now, to your point, instead of spending lots of $$$ on the backup, we can invest that in the starter.

I don't know -- seems like a big upgrade over Diawara to me. Diawara wouldn't have started even for Siena. This guy did, and posted decent numbers.

Not suggesting that he is a world beater, but he's also not a slouch. He's a guy with starts under his belt.

From what I understand [and there are lots of closet Siena fans who might have more detail], this guy was their starter at the beginning of the season at center. He only played about 10 games, before being injured -- then they shifted to Mulvey as the starter.

Averaged 9 and 7 as the starting center. Limited data set / number of games, but seems like he has size and can board.
Actually Folefac played center for awhile after Tasman was injured. Mulvey played sporatically but not full time until near the end of the season. [Others can correct me.]

And, BTW, some of us Orange fans weren't "closet Siena fans". We were Siena fans when their games were more enjoyable to watch than "some others". Plus we were GMac fans and wanted to see how he was doing.

Mulvey had the concussion issue that limited his playing time. There was a long stretch where Siena played Folefac and Chandler. Siena probably beats Duke with a healthy Chandler. Tas was doing well to start the year and was a welcome addition after having to watch that stiff (respectfully) Peter Carey.

At least this kid has played and has experience and is a physical dude as a depth piece when we have been discussing someone like Gilhool who hasn’t played a minute of cbb yet. In respect to winning he played with a Gannon team that is a D2 force before Siena.

Now that some of the end of the roster pieces are being considered/added look forward to the bigger names hopefully soon.
