Class of 2023 PF Tasman Goodrick (Australia) TRANSFERING TO SYRACUSE (4/8/26)

Those guys are…. Quite a bit better, I’d imagine. But, they are definitely white!
Definitely went out on a limb there lol.
We are starting to look like the Iowas, Creightons, and Wisconsin’s of the world.

The looming question is whether 5-10 mpg is the actual role.

I think we are letting that question loom for literally anyone who commits who we don’t see as a starter (including myself in that criticism) and assuming they are going to have a bigger role than makes sense.

Come on, you can't compare that Drake team to this past year's Siena. They're not remotely close.
Exactly one of those guys started in Stirtz at Drake. 2 more this year ended up starting at Iowa this year.

Everyone b!tching and moaning about these moves must've forgot we had Zephir, Diawara, Fennell, Souare, and Womack at the end of the bench this year. All projects or in Zephir/ Souare's case never contributed anything anywhere.

So my question is would we rather have those type of players on the bench or guys who have actually contibuted something somewhere?

There's a clear strategy here of building the team back to front. In two weeks if we don't have studs at the 1 and 5 positions then it'll be time to worry, but we are clearly focused on building the entire team.

Just food for thought. The less you need to spend on backups, the more money you save for high-impact players.

Syracuse usually has 12-13 scholarship players. GMAC is starting with 2. It would be difficult to fill a roster with what players are asking on the open market. Also, not many big names have announced yet.

I am with everyone else, we need depth, and guys like this are great for it. My questions is, however, are these players coming to an ACC school to sit? We all love Gerry, but is he that likeable for players come to Syracuse and sit instead of going somewhere else to play?

For those in the know. What are his strengths and weaknesses?
This is a surprise. He only played a third of the season until he got injured and then Folefac took his place at the 5 spot. But he moves well, he has some good size, some range and a very good all around player.

I believe he transfered from Gannon and they were in the D2 finals this year, but not sure how they did in it. But Gannon is a legit program.

who would have thought that Siena was loaded with P4 athletes? Not gonna get far with this kind of stuff..!! Sorry not sorry!!
Actually we may be building a stronger bench right now than what we’ve had in a long time. Using having a low major coach that was successful to our advantage right now. If they start landing there starting caliber targets this may be going better than I even expected.
