Class of 2023 PF Tasman Goodrick (Australia) TRANSFERING TO SYRACUSE (4/8/26)

They looked a helluva lot more competitive against Duke than SU did.
But not so competitive vs Indiana, and not exactly dominant in their league (13-7, 3rd place). Don’t put too much weight on one game.

Gannon got smoked [watched the game on Saturday].

But still, they made it to the championship.
Those PSAC schools have always been decent. They get some fringe talent for being DIV 2.

Remember a few years ago Cuse played IUP in a pre-season exhibition game.

PG at Siena the last two years was a Lock Haven transfer, think he played 40 minutes against Duke.

I thought Gannon won the championship? Their first ever 84-61 over Lander.

People are freaking crazy.

You really think GMAC, who played big time hoops and spent most of his career coaching in the ACC, doesn’t know what talent he needs to compete in this conference?

Let the man do his thing. I haven’t been excited about Cuse hoops in a long time. Loving what he’s done so far.
GMAC knows the kind of talent he needs to compete. The question is can he land that talent.

I think the final roster will be an upgrade over last year but not sure how big of an upgrade. We have more NIL to work with and I think Gerry has a staff who can close in general, but player costs are insane. I’m guardedly optimistic

Well... If he was the starting 5 over Folefac, and Folefac did well against Indiana and Duke (19 and 18p), then i guess, by the transitive properties law of sportingstuff, that's encouraging. Seeing the video, though—not athletic, quick, a quick leaper. Doesn't look 6'10". He'll probably be 'solid,' and completely unspectacular. I hope we don't end up with him as a starter, but in reserve he probably won't hurt you and will probably surprise a bit.

I think an upgrade in any way is a great thing, because last years roster was talented. I will die on that hill.

I think the players prices are overblown

I think with a few players that is the case, but it’s true that the market value has gone up this year. Which blows but I think we will be able to get a good C & PG still. I have faith in Gerry.

It may have gone up a tad but we have gotten our nil up to the standard mostly. I think if you have 12-14 million you are able to get a roster to compete for a chip

To some degree, yes
I agree with you the market is up yes but I don’t think too much. Maybe I’m wrong but regardless we have plenty to get a hell of a roster and imo great start so far. Now let’s get a point!

Gannon actually won the D2 NCAA Championship beating Lander from SC 84-61 on Sunday the 5th. I watched it - a good friend played for them quite a while ago.
