How many PFF points is a back flip worth?

The run blocking must have sucked then.

It was ok. A lot of what Dan did was on his own after getting hit. But the fact is nobody was bad. That helps a lot.

if teams are gonna put 8-9 in the box and you can stop them from being in the backfield there will be spaces to run at times. We didnt really knock guys back but I dont know that you can with a heavy box like we saw.. but if you that many times for 6 yds a carry blocking has to be decently better than avg.

What I'm curious about is how much competition affects the grade. If Dwight Freeney lines up across from the left tackle and blows by him is that different than him being able to block Josh Thomas using the exact same skill/technique?

I don’t think it makes a difference. Over time you’d think it balances out.

I can see that. In a given game though, a better player could maybe grade out worse if he's lined up across from an elite guy on his side while a teammate is lined up across from an average one.

Yep

Apparently Joe Cruz should have been playing all along. That was the best push this OL got all year and they knew exactly what we were going to do. He’s usually listed as back up OT. I would like to see what he can do since I don’t think Petry is the long term answer

What’ve happened with the one was good. Maybe pure scheme helped or Joe Cruz was a big lift. Cohesion is a big thing for oline. Next year we get Ellis and Wolbaugh back. Not crazy thin the line could be decent.

Wondering if Joe More is going the medical redshirt route too. He’s the guy that was cross training at four positions before the ankle injury. Tried to give it a go but apparently never got to 100%.

all i know is jason simmons with the lowest grade is absolutely correct... he should not be playing.
