How bad do you have to be to a earn grade in the 30s?! Also disappointed in cook. Explains why he isn’t a bigger part of the offense yet.

When is Dale Williams’ seat going to start getting warm? When the entire OL is an embarrassment…

Any insight to why he had so few snaps
Antoine DeslauriersLB28
He’s in there on certain packages. I honestly think we rotate too much on D and overthink things. Bryant and Antoine are two best backers. McDonald gets constantly beat in pass coverage.

It’s time to run with the youth on D for the most part.

The snap count data is great. The grades... meh. I'm not convinced the lowly paid analyst working feverishly to get these out is seeing what coaches see on tape over the next few days. It's a directional guide, but nothing else.

Bryant and AD are the two best. I think Sparrow in spots is good too especially run support.

The offensive line took a huge step back this week. No argument there. I still think they have potential to be solid like what they showed against a tough Tennessee defense. Offense struggled through most of the game but I gotta give props to cook with his 2 catches on the drive that got us the lead late into the 4th.

I agree, but also through 2 weeks I feel like they have generally been very accurate compared to what we all saw on the field.

Its super unfortunate that we have to keep trotting McDonald out there...2 weeks in a row where he is getting cooked out there constantly.

I think Johntay Cook is not 100% healthy, hopefully he can rest vs. Colgate and come back strong.

I'm also not saying that Angeli was our best player out there like these say, but the OL definitely did him no favors. Big time of him to lead the two 4th quarter drives and OT.

Agree, although I think it cut both ways. Angeli seems poor at identifying pressure. Some of those OL breakdowns look to be on him not calling protection out correctly.

Hopefully they get more in sync soon.

Needs to get rid of the ball a little quicker. Also he has to identify the coverage in the middle of the field better. UConn legitimately could have had 2 or 3 more picks.
All of these things would be better with stronger protection. Not having Mack really hurt. Didn’t think either Betrand or Miller looked good at all.

Yeah, they need to help each other. The line has really struggled preventing even basic pressure. And Angeli takes a little too long back there.

McCord really spoiled us.

The OL isn't good at pass protection. You see at times he is going through his reads, which cannot happen with this OL. He needs to do a better job pre snap or moving to his outlet instead of looking at #2 option. Not ideal but given our pass protection you have no choice.

impossible for us to know how Angelli is seeing the field. We run a lot of 2 way go routes. Maybe he was holding the ball because he and WR are not seeing the same thing? Many of the pressure issues where he held on does not mean he was doing something wrong. Maybe its him, maybe its not.

I agree. They need to have a better plan here. Re-watching the game will tell us if the 2nd read or check down is the answer. Live its hard to see where the checkdown is.

It seems heavily weighted on whether or not you made a play or two.

I think they skim and see what sticks out. Then slap on a grade.

Cook isn't fully healthy. You can tell. Re-aggravated his leg injury on that catch at the sideline in the game turning drive.

I also think UConn gave him a lot of attention, which opened things up for Villari.
