Both the Mingo brothers are PGs. I get they want to play together but I don't think it would work. Unless Brunt thinks this kid can be a game changer from day one, we're probably better off finding someone to pair with Dual in the portal.

I would think there could be a side benefit to landing the consensus #1 player in the class. It sends a statement that SU is back, and the GMac is going to be a player on the recruiting circuit.

This is similar to those who say nobody should care about starting because Dion Waiters never started and was drafted at #4 in the first round. There is a reason these are considered exceptions.

You can’t run out a lineup with both Mingos unless you put at least 2 shooters on the floor and even then how they play would create redundancy vs meshing well. It sounds fun but it likely would be a major struggle to sort everything out. We need another PG and our starting big man. I’m not sure in what universe both Mingos are a winning formula unless they split the PG spot which I just can’t see happening. The message it would send we are a recruiting force would bump against getting results.

I’m with this take. I’d rather have a Wilkins type player over Dylan. If Kayden wants to come here by himself I’d be all for that. Not both. They’re redundant. We also still need a center and the rumored prices for them are ridiculous.

While I think the splashness of Dylan would be big for our casual fan base, I feel if we are going to add another player at the guard level to help with the PG duties, they should be a knock-down shooter to help with floor spacing.
