Sounds like a very wishy washy political speaking board. Left no right, I don’t know!!!This board: “Rankings and stars mean NOTHING”
Also this board: “Relax guys, the all day site has him top 50!”
But last years roster “on paper” is 10x better than this so far when we’re talking just talent and potential. I agree all of this relies on coaching but you still need to score the ball and this is trending toward offensive similarities to before. I can picture Doty taking 20 shots a night and Kiyan trying to score with 6 left on the clock. I’m praying I’m wrongHey man it’s okay to be cranky lol. But again idk I don’t value spending everything on 1 or 2 players. Look what we did with George this year….
My hope is our top 3 NIL earners are not on the roster yet …. If that’s the case the talent has the potential to match last year. But that’s a big IFBut last years roster “on paper” is 10x better than this so far when we’re talking just talent and potential. Or maybe you are just not privy to the staff’s plan or maybe you are right. Time and time only will tell us.Yup I am shocked with all the positive momentum Syracuse had nationally and all the money they reportedly had, they didn't go all in on a big name. They could have backfilled the roster with the likes of Dual at any time. It seems like they are doing things backwards. They needed to hit with a big name.
My initial reaction is the money wasn't real or inflated and didn't come to life.

Dual played like 25mpg last year and only started half the games.
Do we think he even expects to start here?
To be fair, in a scenario where Dual is the primary backup 1-3, he could play starter minutes and prove he has the versatility he needs to get a shot in the pros. Would be thrilled if that ends up being the case.Wont this be his last year in college? Not saying it isn't possible but signing this early to be a backup at the P5 level for your last year in college versus signing at a lesser program to start seems strange. Which is why I lean towards a starter here. Not saying he can't be a backup and I think he would be great as a backup but it seems strange from the player POV.

I think him being our starting PG is more likely though.
yea i misinterpreted your post.Did you read the comment I responded to or are you just looking to argue with someone?
I guess we are starting to see why in the press conference, when asked about his offensive style of play mcnamara focused on what guys could do with the ball when the shot clock hits 5 secondsBut last years roster “on paper” is 10x better than this so far when we’re talking just talent and potential. You commit to whichever school pays you the most, because it might be your last chance to make $500,000 + a year playing basketball. That's life-changing money. Whether you start is not as big a consideration as it used to be.So I keep coming back to this...
Think of this from Dual's POV... This is your last year in college, why would you commit to Syracuse if it wasn't to start? It's not like we have been a tournament team every year, so you aren't going to play at the P4 level on the bench and guaranteed to make the tournament. So why would he commit to playing here? I don't see an angle why he would come to Syracuse if it wasn't to start from his POV, especially this early in the cycle?
We don't have Bentley money...and with the amount of money that is/was there, zero familiar names or splash transfer so far. None. For those of us who actually watch other teams and games, this has been absolutely insane and low level transfers that no one truly cares for. No one from a big school. Got Bentley money and buying Camrys
Shoot man, I don’t come here until I’m at least 2 edibles in.This thread is going in circles. Time for an edible and to throw on the Spring game.
He's been at 4 schools in 4 years and his biggest highlight reel is of him punching a kid on the court. Give me a break. He's in no position to demand anything and does GMac strike you as a guy promising starting minutes. So I keep coming back to this...

The day this board doesn’t meltdown way way prematurely is the day the Bobsled team from Hell wins the gold medalOkay do we all know we only have 6 players currently?
Yes, you are. You have been here for three freakin' weeks. It's time for you to step back and lurk more, you have no idea what the people you are trashing actually know, or what their connections are.You will be. Not being an a hole but your being too negative
Not a s e x y pickup, but pretty similar numbers to Quadir at McNeese.
Rosters on paper do NOT win a single game add an absolutely unbelievably horrid coach and that was last year. But last years roster “on paper” is 10x better than this so far when we’re talking just talent and potential.
