I have heard second hand that Larranaga is a very dirty recruiter. Not surprised by this AT ALL.

I have played poker against Woods a number of times. Alsacs has as well. I don't like him one bit.

I played the shooting stars poker tourney in San Jose 5 years ago. A female pro named a Kathy Liebert was at my table and during the afternoon session I kept running into big hands ever time she had one and kept going over the top of her. She was pissed. At dinner break at the player buffet, she sat with me wanting to know if I had it out for her. James Woods joined us because she was mentoring him and he had a million questions about hands he played earlier. He was super cordial and very very smart

I would think the scandal, and the fact that Miami has been named, should bode very well for Syracuse in Carey's recruitment. IMO it should be a slam dunk that Carey signs with SU.
