If he's serious about academics, then perhaps he'd be interested in this NIL era in the prospect of spending 3-4 yrs in a situation where he is pulling down some serious change in his hometown where he's the local basketball hero, with SU fan support spread throughout the East Coast region.

The Big Money allure of the NBA may not be quite so irresistible if you're already making a ton of money at the same time you're pursuing your education goals. No?

i want JJ but if he doesnt commit things will be alright, i remember Dolezaj being a gem that worked out once Blazey fell apart.

I loved Dolezaj but one year of Bazely would have put SU at a different level than it has been at in close to a decade. Baze is a completely different talent/physical skill level than Marek.
