Canada beat Australia 75-72. Luke led the team with 18 points on 5 for 10 from 3. He also had 4 rebounds, 1 asst, and 1 steal.
This was a Straughn recruit, we got him before KlineI can see why Alex and others were high on this kid.
Kline was on staff when Fennell committed early last season. This was a Straughn recruit, we got him before Kline
Furphy has been a black hole again.
I’m saying Straughn recurited him. We didn’t start talking to him because of KlineKline was on staff when Fennell committed early last season.
Yes we did. See above.I’m saying Straughn recurited him. We didn’t start talking to him because of Kline
I think Fennell and Kiyan could easily man a second unit backcourt. Actually very similar players. Would love to see us go zone with them in. Two 6’5/6” guys up top who are long. And either can bring the ball up on O. Both can really score the ball. Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kiyan or Fennell starts at the 3 ahead of Kingz…
Red has enough depth 1-3 so if anyone is having an off day, or doesn't play defense he can sit them for a few minutes. It also looks like the same situation at the 4 and 5.I’d be very surprised if they started over Kingz. Kingz is very good and now two years removed from the ACL is ready to really show off more than just that sweet outside jumper.
Fennell and Kiyan may both push JJ for his allotted minutes for sure and earn backup minutes overall including maybe together depending on ball handling for short spurts where George is off the floor.
The coaches have very good problems to deal with. Practices should be very competitive.I’d be very surprised if they started over Kingz. Kingz is very good and now two years removed from the ACL is ready to really show off more than just that sweet outside jumper.

Fennell prob wouldn’t start, but until we hear differently, I’d imagine Kiyan has as good a shot at starting at Kingz. Time well tell. But as we’re saying, nice logjam in the backcourt.I’d be very surprised if they started over Kingz. Assuming Fennell is heading to Cuse I would imagine Straughn will be joining him in transit.Fly together back to Syracuse. Have him working out with the team starting Tuesday.
Kingz has a huge difference with his body over Anthony or Fennell.Fennell prob wouldn’t start, but until we hear differently, I’d imagine Kiyan has as good a shot at starting at Kingz. Time well tell. But as we’re saying, nice logjam in the backcourt
Sure, but means nothing if they’re better bball players.Kingz has a huge difference with his body over Anthony or Fennell.
Kingz is going to start. He might be our second or third best player.Sure, but means nothing if they’re better bball players.
Kingz shot 44% from three on decent volume for a whole basketball season. If he doesn't start,it will be a wild development.Sure, but means nothing if they’re better bball players.
He’s also the third highest paid guy.Kingz shot 44% from three on decent volume for a whole basketball season. If he doesn't start,it will be a wild development.
I would not be shocked at all if Kiyan starts and is the better player. Kiyan is a knockdown shooter. Esp. If he’s kind of only asked to do that. Fennell is obviously a reach, but who’s to say he isn’t better than Kingz? We obv don’t know until we see them all out there together. But to say wild development is too much imo.Kingz shot 44% from three on decent volume for a whole basketball season. If he doesn't start,it will be a wild development.
If he’s 2nd best, we will not be decent.Kingz is going to start. He might be our second or third best player.
If Anthony or Fennell come in and beat Kingz out,it would be shocking.I would not be shocked at all if Kiyan starts and is the better player. Kiyan is a knockdown shooter. Esp. The maturity and experience factors strongly favor Kingz.I would not be shocked at all if Kiyan starts and is the better player. Kiyan is a knockdown shooter. Esp. He put up numbers against Gonzaga last year. He will be more than fine.If he’s 2nd best, we will not be decent.
