He can’t be on campus because it’s a dead period starting after today. I think it goes until April 12. Everything always shuts down during the NCAA championship.

And a guard from UCF and some random JUCO wing with poor shooting #'s
The UCF guard, Jaylin Summers, only played 3 games this year, but average 16ppg last year. 30% from 3, but the prior 2 years at Ball State shot well over 40%. Of course, he released a top 4 a few days ago with us nowhere to be found, so not sure what the follow would mean if anything.

Ehhh you get my point haha pretty good shot we’ll get him on campus for a visit is what I’m saying. This isn’t a lock like Kingz was for a week or so. But we definitely have a shot here and the coaches are making him the top PG priority

Being from Toronto should help us. It’s interesting that we’re involved with several HS kids from Canada that go to school in Arizona. George also went to hs in Arizona. We’ve developed some kind of relationship here.
 
Another positive about this kid. He’ll have a couple years of eligibility. Also kinda weird he wasn’t a GREAT 3 point shooter. Better than JJ but not as good as Kingz obviously. I say weird because he has great form, follow through and release. If you watch his highlights he is more than capable of hitting the outside shot. If we land this kid I’ll feel good about our shooting.

Kingz will be our elite shooter. Kiyan will be a really good shooter off the bench. George would be more than capable of hitting the 3. And I think Donnie is as well, especially if he works on it this off-season. JJ as we know is streaky but he is capable from deep as well. So I don’t think shooting will be much of a problem next year if we get George. We just need to make sure we tighten up our defense.












And somehow Autry figures out how to coach and we’ll be good! It’ll really suck if we land George and a good center because we’ll have a really solid team but I’ll have zero confidence in Autry to do any damage in March.

Shooting percentages can be a little deceiving. Most point guard threes can come off from dribble, step backs. Off guards make threes off a lot of catch and shoot. Easier shot.

I hear ya and all, but a FG% under 40% is a significant red flag when their 3PT rate isn't like 70%. Not as much of a red flag in college as it is for the NBA, but significant nonetheless.
