Like a sandwich break or a bathroom break? What’s nice is George is a true point guard. He might actually know how to run a break.
I feel like the few breaks we had ended up with a kickout to a bricked 3 attempt.

At least those players fit the concept of playing fast and some pressure. And they have the size and athletic ability to play man to man if we have anyone on the staff who can teach it.Probably a lack of confidence in the coaching staff which is where I am at the moment.
I just asked a basketball person who he liked better George or Claude. He said George without a hesitation. I will take either one.I'm not a huge fan of George he doesn't do anything particularly well. I understand you guys are obsessed with him because he led the conference in assists but I just don't think he's very good. I think Kingz was a great signing, Kyle should be good but I will be disappointed if George is the guard
I personally take Claude all dayI just asked a basketball person who he liked better George or Claude. He said George without a hesitation. I will take either one.
He must do something well right?I'm not a huge fan of George he doesn't do anything particularly well. I’m guessing you don’t like the fg% numbers? Keep in mind he played 36 minutes a game. Seems like Claude or George would be upgrades from last season so there’s that and hopefully we get one. Georgia Tech went 17-17 10-10 in the ACC. They probably wouldn’t have won 10 games all year without George.I'm not a huge fan of George he doesn't do anything particularly well. As a lead guard, that's a crazy statement. I'd be surprised if we're even still really pursuing him with Kingz in the fold.I personally take Claude all day

Respect your opinion. I like Claude as a player and think he would help our team out. Claude is a wayyyy better player than Carlos. And I’d be happy getting Claude if it doesn’t work with George.I personally take Claude all day
My main concern is the 39% shooting percentage.Yeah so if we get this kid. Everyone should be pumped. This kid is really good and a perfect fit for what we have on the roster right now. He’d take this team to the next level. He’s a stat stuffer. You’ll see a lot of games where he gets 15 points 8 assists 5 rebounds. He’ll be good for a steak or two a game as well. He’s a really well rounded player. It’ll be quite the upgrade going from Carlos to George to say the least.
We have a very good shot there. But UNC really wants him and Texas is coming into play now too. But from what I’m hearing George is a fan of Cuse and Cuse is making him priority one right now
Don't love that with his 4.3 AST and 3.5 TO averages.I'm not surprised -- the coaches view Claude as a 1, and were pursuing him independently from Kingz.
Anyone is an upgrade compared to Carlos. He was out of his league, undersized and didn’t have the game to play in th ACC.Yeah so if we get this kid. Everyone should be pumped. Do you mean the part where they were the leading scores from a P5 team and in the top 12 overall for their conferences (JJ was 7th)?Claude is JJ 2.0..
I'm not sure where I land on these two to be honest. I think I lean towards George between the two, but like I mentioned before, any time you're flirting with a 50% TS%, I'm instantly concerned, especially knowing the ball will be in his hands a lot. Having said that, I can see the vision where you get him throwing lobs to Kyle, Donnie, Sadiq, etc. and kicking out to whoever we ultimately have to shoot. And he's definitely a better shooter than Claude which will help for when JJ is the one creating. Neither are really the ideal guy but that's why we have a chance at them lol. Amongst the guards we've been linked to, I think these two and Kezza Giffa are hands down the most intriguing of the bunch and I think you could make a decent case for any of the three.I personally take Claude all day
The situation with George I would compare this to though different positions and players is Joe Girard. He needed to be a little more superman at Cuse than Clemson. Efficiency got better when he had Chase Hunter with him in the backcourt. I can see a very similar thing happen for George with JJ and the rest of our guards. My main concern is the 39% shooting percentage.
I don’t care about straight scoring. I care about efficiency and the ability to defend.Do you mean the part where they were the leading scores from a P5 team and in the top 12 overall for their conferences (JJ was 7th)?
I understand you are worried about redundancy. Desmond is far from perfect, and his game has obvious flaws. But adding his proven scoring ability to JJ's will make the offense (whatever it is) much more difficult to defend.
In addition, he isn’t in the portal. As a lead guard, that's a crazy statement. I'd be surprised if we're even still really pursuing him with Kingz in the fold.
He also orchestrated wins over Duke, NC and Clemson the past two years. He’s a gamer and can elevate his game when games are on the line. He’s still only a sophomore. His numbers are really good for a young player. UCONN was really interested too. He must do something right.I’m guessing you don’t like the fg% numbers? Keep in mind he played 36 minutes a game.
