This is where I’m at. Looking at the big picture the program needs to show we can also buy the depth needed and identify the trickier holes left to fill. We all knew we needed a George to run point forever ago.

Where are the hidden gems and can we get them? We’re not going to be able to offer much more playing time except at the 5 but we also need more output. That probably means it’s gonna cost.

No doubt this is a huge win along with Donnie and Kingz though.

How exactly is he gonna do that, though? He can't shoot, he can't finish, he takes care of the ball at the bare minimum rate you expect of a PG (2/1 a/to). He ain't some maestro he's a middling guard

We have positive momentum and some really good roster pieces now to attract a top tier big who wants to win and maybe play closer to home (paging Quincy Ballard, lol). There will be more bigs entering the portal over the next 2-3 weeks, and I have to believe we’re talking to some others that are already in the portal. And yes another wing/SF would be great.

Either Ballard or Deng would be good, IMO.
Then add a 3 point shooting SF, maybe ask Kyle Cuffe back as the 3rd PG if he doesn't go to St Johns.

He's certainly not our best player to have suited up at PG since Kadary (I don't believe George is even better than Starling), but if you want to say best passer since Kadary, I suppose so?

I thought the same thing. Strange thing to say about just Kingz and Kiyan (and maybe Donnie).

This feels like the starting 5. It seems like we promised Kyle a starting spot - Donnie at the 4, Kingz at the 3, backcourt of JJ/George. Not sure if Ballard comes to come off the bench.

No way I would have guaranteed Kyle to be a starter.

We’re Complicating this portal stuff too much.

This guy can play point, can run a fast break and legit programs were after him. Same with Kingz and Donnie/JJ likely if they would’ve portaled.

It’s a bit weird you have 1400 posts, and it seems like approximately 100 are in this thread stating how much you dislike George. Kid just committed to us, try to at least be positive (or quiet) until there’s a legit reason to criticize the kid.
