Briscoe Averaging 32 minutes a game, 19.7 points, both of which lead the team... Not sure what your definition is of invisible...
His suspect jumper will keep him behind both Fox and Monk in the minds of NBA scouts by the end of the season.

Completely different argument. I agree with you, his jumper is a work in progress. But he certainly is not the invisible guard. His ability to drive and finish at the rim is already NBA ready. Plus he has improved his shooting % so the NBA will take enough notice.

The crystal ball is meaningless. Why do people even reference that?
I agree...just stating it seems like people on both sides are split still..it's as meaningless as everything on this entire thread has been up to this point

Not gonna disagree with you on that. But you tell me the name of any successful guard in the NBA that shot that poorly from outside the paint. Unfortunately the one for me that comes to mind is MCW, and he has fallen mainly because teams know he can't shoot! Also, watching that game, announcers are enamored with the new shiny things(Fox and Monk).

Do not see Briscoe translating to nba at all. Broken jumper, plays below the rim, not very quick
Definitely. But let's be honest, no matter where Briscoe went he wasn't going to be an NBA dude. His game only works if he was 6'7 or bigger. He has way too many shortcomings overall to be productive at the NBA level at his size

Most, everyone, except my better half, knew that Hillary would win, so there might still be a small chance. However, we need a backup plan. What is it?
Frank Howard 1st team All-ACC. Tyus Battle comes back. Try to load up for the 2018 class.

I want Quade to come here as much as anyone. Met him that unfortunate night at MSG and my QUADE Fever went up exponentially.

Holding out hope we get get him...but we will be more than fine if he doesn't come here. Frank Howard...the 5th year we get next year and our 2018 guard whoever that may be. We are Syracuse and we rule.

Do we really need this guy here anyways with Frank here the next 2 years?
Green potentially brings Diallo with him and Green gives us a PG when Howard leaves for the NBA after next year. That is the big deal more than anything. Frank Howard as a JR in our system will be better than Quade would have been as a frosh. But Quade gives us depth, Hami, and a 2018 starting PG

Yes, but to circle around to the beginning of this conversation. Do you think Cal promised him the league like the rest? You know he didn't say, come play here. You'll do okay for four years, maybe get lucky and get drafted before then!

You really believe Hami is playing college ball? Just don't see it.

Sure, what does Cal have to lose. If Quade ends up at UK for 4 years and not getting drafted, he can't exactly call a do-over. We've done as good of a job as putting guards in the NBA as anyone recently. UK has that special lure that anyone outside of Duke can't match.

I was always in the 1. NBA 2. UConn 3. UK ...... 4. Cuse camp for Hami. Then the word came that he wanted to play with Quade and I put us more close to UConn/UK than I had us originally. I truly think Hami does go to the NBA. But if Green came here and Hami decided to go to college, I loved our chances. Now I think Hami either goes to the NBA or UK. Kid is too big for UConn and no way he comes here without Q.

Yes, but you said it. When it comes to guards on JB's teams, no one shows them off better!

Briscoe's ability to make it in the NBA is a different argument all together.

The original statement was that QG would be like Briscoe if he comes to Kentucky, invisible. Well Briscoe has the challenge of his shot not falling and he is putting up impressive numbers and is certainly not invisible.

QG doesn't have the issue of a "broken shot" so if Briscoe can succeed in a 3 guard lineup with two other 5*'s then I'm sure QC will be fine.

Now arguing Briscoe's ability to make it in the NBA is crazy talk. His drive and passing ability is off the chart, give him the ability to work on his shot full time and I have all the confidence in the world that he will make it respectable. He has done so already from last year to this year as a student.

I assume you don't mean a student in the classroom

It doesn't take an elite coach to put John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, Derrick Rose, etc. in the NBA. MCW was unheard of his JR YR in HS to a star on a FF team and a lotto pick.
And NBA Rookie of the Year!

Well yeah the conversation started when it was mentioned that Quade was promised the NBA within two years. So yeah comparing him to a previous PG recruited prior to him does make sense.

Also, Briscoe has been playing basketball his whole life I would imagine and is now just deciding to work on his jumper! Come on, keep drinking the Kool-Aid with that one.

As far as his passing ability being off the chart. I think his career at Kentucky assist to turnover ratio would say otherwise. Come on, I get it, your a UK fan, but take off the blinders and look at him for what he is. He's really great at taking people off the dribble and getting to the basket. That's about it!
