This column by Mike Jensen appeared in this morning Philadelphia Inquirer. The thing that intrigued me was the dynamic of having NCAA games going on in the Wells Fargo Center while at the same time Temple, LaSalle and Nova were all playing at different sites.

"Has this ever happened before? Three teams from one city playing on a single day while four other games were played in that city? It's not even possible in any of the other cities hosting games this weekend around the country."

We've had debates on here previously about whether the NCAA would/should set SU up to play at times that conflicted with unrelated games being hosted in the Dome. Seems like the NCAA flipped the bird at the whole Philly region and the Big Five in general having all three of the local teams that were in the Tournament play at the same time as locally hosted games were being run. So, its not just us that they don't like...it's really everyone except Kentucky that they hate...oh, and maybe Duke.

Awesome that the Georgetown game was in Philly vs a team named the Eagles. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!! Chants all game long.

I was at the games and when the temple score flashed everyone cheered. Went to chickies and petes and caught the end of the lasalle game. When that game went final the place went nuts.. It was great. Also, tons of cuse fans at the wells fargo center and everyone rooting against Georgetown. Loved every minute of it.

Sounds like a great day of ball good stuff! Its cool we were well represented, its not like we were playing that day and nothing beats catching 4 tournament games in person in one day.

I am glad Gtown wasn't too far from home so they had some fans in the building to experience that one last night!

I don't think the NCAA does it purposely...they are just CLUELESS.
