I have been asking myself this Q since fall camp.
Who is the best player on O and on D this year. Usually by a few games in its pretty clear. For me at this point i dont have a clue. There isnt a single player on either side of the ball who really stands out and that is very telling.
I honestly dont think we have a single player, not one on our O that is even close. Of course Tommy is the most important but he certainly isnt very good.
I guess i would have to pick Jackson.
On D again no clue. Robinson has been neutralized and is playing it safe. Coleman not really much either. Berry has been good but i guess if i had to pick it would be Williams.
Again pretty telling that nobody on the entire team with the exception of our punter stands out.

Not sure who I would pick on O. Probably Jackson.

defense for me is Cisco. Might be a little shy on tackles but anytime we make a big time play he tends to be right in the middle of the action...however Trill is also a really close second

My picks
Jackson then Hackett
Lakiem Williams then Ruff Or Berry.

Neither had a standout, which was the point of your exercise.

Nobody stood up to lead the O and D this year. A shame because the talent was there and the momentum from last year should have been contagious.

Jackson/Hackett have both had real solid yrs

Coleman on D if for no other reason in that he has hustles down guys from behind a bunch, robinson might have the talent but he disappears way too much.

Spot on. All great teams have leaders. Last year we had a few with Eric being the lead Dog. This year not one.

The punter is the best and most consistent player on the team.

O: 1. Hackett 2. Jackson 3. DeVito
D: 1. Coleman 2. LW 3. Trill

My favorite player on O is our RB from Mississippi. That kid plays his arse of every carry.

For me it's Jackson on offense. Don't think there is really a close 2nd at this point.

Defense is a lot harder to choose. I'll go with Coleman. I feel like his motor is always running. I'll place Cisco 2nd. He's delivered numerous big hits and seems to be in the middle of plays.

A little different spin that I was considering this morning. What players have really exceeded expectations this year? Pretty short list I'm afraid. I was thinking Josh Black on D and Hackett on O. Maybe Lakeim deserves consideration but he has been so inconsistent. Jackson has been very good relative to everything around him but I cannot honestly say he has exceeded expectations. Not tough to see why we are 3-6.
