She’s down there, made the trip. She’s been posting about it on twitter.Where's Emily ? Did she get cut ?
Cmon. Did nobody notice Mark Coyle in the back of that picture?
Been down on the floor once when my company rang the opening bell, it’s an incredible experience for those players, coaches and administrators. Well done Pinstripe…Good for them to get to experience Wall Street. I was hoping the team would get to do this.
Look who's peaking over Dino's shoulder.
Me too!Been down on the floor once when my company rang the opening bell, it’s an incredible experience for those players, coaches and administrators. Well done Pinstripe…
SU players were wearing orange jerseys at the NY Rangers game. Minnesota players were wearing maroon jerseys.Do we know what our uniform colors are yet?
Yeah I saw that too, but just wondering if an official announcement has been made yet. Normally we would know by now.SU players were wearing orange jerseys at the NY Rangers game. Minnesota players were wearing maroon jerseys.
MN usually wears maroon jerseys with maroon pants so if Cuse is wearing orange jerseys it would look better to wear them with white pants so it’s not a all maroon vs. an all orange match up which may not look great on tv.SU players were wearing orange jerseys at the NY Rangers game. Minnesota players were wearing maroon jerseys.
I've always been skeptical about listed heights/weights on the team roster. G Shrader is listed at 6'4" and O Gadsden at 6'5". GS looks at least 2-3 inches taller than OG in that video. I wonder if OG is standing on a lower part of the floor or if GS is actually taller than listed.
The Post Standard has cut corners everywhere they could. The Sports section is now an AP aggregate. They weren't paying for hotels during Christmas/NYE week in NYC at the last minute. So just venting here..
Syracuse Football practice was OPEN to the media today (per the game notes). I've seen only one reporter (not a beat writer) tweet a picture from practice.
How is the local media/beat writers not covering this? For all the times they complain about lack of availability to the program, I don't see any Syracuse.com reporters commenting from practice. What are we even doing here?
That’s a great story! I don’t have anything to match that, but one thing I learned later from our folks on the podium: apparently the stairwell up to the balcony where you ring the bell is actually pretty tight. Near the top, It’s tradition to sign your name somewhere on the wall as a participant (not sure if it’s just for IPO or for other appearances). Thought that was pretty cool.Me too!
Super surreal experience.
Edited to add: I actually have a cool story to tell. So my company is going public, and I happen to be with our CEO in an elevator up to the show floor. And the guy taking our group up there says to my CEO "Ok, you need to do a good job ringing the bell. The traders will judge you if you don't, and people mess it up all the time. You can't just quick press the button, you need to hold it down." So my CEO gets a little nervous and asks "Hold it down? Like, for how long?" And the guy says "Give it a good three count." And my CEO says "like one Miss'ippi?" And the guy says "Exactly. Like one Miss'ippi." Even said it that way and everything. They were both stone faced to each other the whole time. Deadly serious.
Our CEO did just fine. Solid bell ringing. People don't realize you push a button to ring the bell, but at least that's how it worked when we did it.
