Looked like just about every game against Pitt. Total ass kickin on the glass. Pitt gets whatever they want inside. Their more physical players push our thin guys around. We can't score in the paint. As long as the Pitt system and the SU system stay the same...the result will be the same.

Yea. JB didn't go 4 guards with all 3 shooters for Frank to take that shot.

As a big time Frank fan, that was an awful decision on his part. No idea what he was thinking with that one.

Guys it isn't like Pitt lit us up. With 3 min left we were stuck on 45 points while they were turning it over and giving us the ball back with empty possessions. We were also stuck on 40 for what felt like an eternity! It's the offense. Almost always is with this team last few years, imo.

It all starts with where we start the ball screen. When he we start the screen low and wide towards the sideline we have no where to roll to and no where to hit the roll man for separation. Against that we need to start our ball screen high and wide so we can get more separation off the pick and roll.

And G actually needs to wait for the screen to get there to start. He was terrible today in those situations.

Mali's wrist has to be affecting his game. He's been bad, but you are right about Roberson. He's just not doing anything out there at all. Nothing.

Cooney is Cooney. He's not going to have a good game against that team. Ever.

Our guards definitely did not help out enough on the glass today. None of the three of them were effective getting rebounds.

What tick's me off is Frank was playing really well. Made three nice passes (Lydon got fouled on the one and the ref's swallowed the whistle), then when they needed him to keep doing what he was doing he took that stupid outside shot that got him back on the pine. Our ball movement was SO much better when he was in there in 2nd half and TC was on bench.

If he had made that shot he was going to sit. JB doesn't want him to shoot, other than layups (which he got 2 easy ones of).

I am shocked by the result today. I must have really bought into the fool's gold of the home winning streak, even though we were lucky to win against VT and ND was playing short-handed. I don't think Pitt is that physical anymore, at least not like the Pitt teams of a decade ago. And to read their Boards, Dixon is getting as much criticism as Roy Williams. Man, I didn't see this one coming.
