The penultimate possession was the perfect end to Red’s time in Syracuse. Five guys wandering around in the half court with no idea what to do, culminating in a contested chuck from deep.

The other team I follow really closely is Illinois. When Illinois played UCLA a couple weeks ago they lost on a buzzer beater by Donovan Dent where he went end-to-end in 4.9 seconds for the win.

In the post-game they talked a lot about how UCLA practices that moment repeatedly so the players have a grasp on how much time they have based on clock and how far up court they can get in X seconds.

I'm sure most every team does this.

I'm quite sure we did as well. Maybe once. Back in November.

I enjoyed getting the whole George experience today.

The first half was filled up with stupid passes to the wrong team. Long missed threes for no reason. Dribbling endlessly.

The second half he played fairly well early. Soooooo, obviously Red pulled him for a bit. Then, to my amazement, he kept playing well when he returned.

OT......he immediately reverts back to sucking so bad it hurts. Passing to the wrong team. Bad shots. Just bad play all-around.

In 2026, Syracuse's Nait George get’s off an off balance prayer from half court with 4.5 seconds left.

Edney is exactly who I thought of prior to the play when the announcers talked about going length of the court. And then that garbage is what we got, who is coaching these fools? ugg, thats right

Kyle’s been pretty invisible lately too but he still seems to get blocks but his rebounding is way down from what we saw in the beginning of the year. He had just 2 rebounds in an OT game today, just 1 against Wake. I still don’t understand why he has so few fga in games. Today he scored on a screen for SU’s first bucket and then only 4 more attempts (making 2 of them) the rest of the game. Why?

Kyle’s been pretty invisible lately too but he still seems to get blocks but his rebounding is way down from what we saw in the beginning of the year. He had just 2 rebounds in an OT game today, just 1 against Wake. I still don’t understand why he has so few fga in games. Today he scored on a screen for SU’s first bucket and then only 4 more attempts (making 2 of them) the rest of the game. Why?

We had some luck on the lobs early, and he had that putback. I think it was right after that that George and Freeman decided to try to do a bunch of heat checks on their three pointers! Alas, not-so-hot.

Yup I thought he got it last week with some of the slip-ups, but today sealed it for sure. Wonder if he wants to coach ACCT or will let someone else do it.

I only watched the last 5 minutes and OT. So I’m saying this based merely off the box score. That George, shooting 31% from three this season, was allowed to take TEN 3 pointers says everything about the way this offense has been coached.

His play early in the game was impressive. He missed an open three. So he realized he needed to step out a bit further a couple more times just to see if he could miss from longer distances.

He succeeded each time. He's just that guy. Gotta test the limits of how bad he can be each game.
