I am pretty bummed they are coming with us to the ACC with their garbage brand of hoops instead of UCONN but we need their football team.

During the previous decade Pitt had done rather well in the tournament actually, about as you well as a team could do without getting to a Final 4. 5 trips to the regionals in an 8 year span.

However, this is the second year they failed to win a tournament game (no bid last year), and they haven't made it past the first weekend since 2009. Of course, that 4 year span of performance would still put them in the top half of next year's ACC membership (not that that's saying much).
