When I first started watching bball on ESPNU I had to keep changing the channel to make sure my TV was working right.

Not too familiar with Pitt's personnel this year, but judging by the box scores for their first three games, they have practically zero depth. Their bench isn't providing anything for them. Could be a long year for Pitt fans. I love it.

My suspicion is that they might be upconverting a standard definition feed to HD, cuz ESPNU HD never looks like real HD to me.

Two words: Its's early.

The real bust on that Pitt team is Dante Taylor, remember him? At least Fab's struggles were understandable; inexperience & so forth.
Taylor was the first Pitt burger-boy in a looong time- & he's just flat-out SUCKED. He's starting right now, but is a total non-factor.
Birch has a ways to go in the strength dept, but he looks like a player down the road. Btw- so far Rak looks MUCH better

None of the channels you watch save MAYBE NBC sports actually broadcasts full 1080p. I learned this the minute I connected my HD video card to my HDTV and saw for the first time what true 1080p actually looks like.

Only FIOS can broadcast true 1080p without overloading their network, and even they choose not to.

Good point...the door looks wide open for my co workers son to start as a point guard next year. Even though I will root for James Robinson I will only do so when he is playing out of conference teams lol

That said, they'll need Woodall and at least one of their bigs to step up in order for them to be any kind of contender this year.
