TraVon Chapman out of Ohio. Not a very big dual threat. Did not have an offer from Ohio State, so not sure how legit his rating is, although he did hold offers (allegedly) from Wisconsin and Arizona, among a few others.

This shortly after they landed a blue chip running back.

For those who have seen both play - how does Chapman compare to Syracuse's QB of the future, 2-star Zach Allen?

I like the fact that we've landed a couple of possible impact transfer players. But I hope our recruiting starts to pick it up a bit over the next couple of months. No reason Pitt should be beating us in recruiting, even on paper.

Pitt (along with SU) getting better recruits is important to the ACC and will net us more money at the 5 year look in for TV rights.

As long as we handle them on the field, the recruiting papers can say what they want.

That's your basis of comparison, stars?

This has nothing to do with your post, just funny because I accidentally saved the word "thw" into my Thunderbolt and don't know how to delete it. It's really frustrating because "thw" comes up first in the word suggestions over "the."

How do you measure yourself against other golfers?

Is that based on the fact they have a new coach? I'm pretty sure Pitt has beaten us in recruiting every year since before Pornstache started coaching there. Western PA has much better local talent and they have a better recent history. I would argue there is no reason they shouldn't be beating us in recruiting.

So how does Chapman compare to Syracuse's QB of the future, 2-star Zach Allen?

Zach Allen is better.

Both competed at Elite 11 QB tryouts, Tra’Von in Columbus and Allen in Dallas.

Zach Allen was named an Elite 11 QB Camp finalist, Tra’Von was not.

Whoever wins the money. And it's not always about the lowest score.

Pitt has had four different head coaches in the past 16 months.

Before Wanny, SU's recruiting classes were comparable, and we dominated them in the 90's. Not sure why you feel there is "no reason they shouldn't be beating us in recruiting." I have a great deal of respect for Pitt, but why the inferiority complex to them?

Texas Tech good enough for you? How about Elite 11, 7 on 7 tourney MVPS.

I've read a lot of good things about Allen. Not sure why you're getting defensive. I asked for input.

I don't think Tech offered. I keep up with Big 12 recruiting as I am a Baylor fan as well.

Maybe because for about the last ten years we've been inferior to them. Noone we recruit can remember when we were better than them.
