Makes zero sense, then going back to Collins?I don't understand putting Carney in for a couple plays, not really having him do anything, then taking him out.
Like did the coaches do that to show that Carney isn’t the answer? Because I saw some good things and we’re not winning with Rickie anyways, so it can’t get any worseI don't understand putting Carney in for a couple plays, not really having him do anything, then taking him out.
Same old Syracuse. Our starting QB suffers season ending injury, our backup is not P4 caliber, we become uncompetitive, season falls apart.
A tale as old as time.

I think it was just to try to pacify the fans. “ Look , I put Carney in and he didn’t play any better”. I was there, the fans booed when Collins was put back in. Coaching staff didn’t give Carney a chance to do anything.I don't understand putting Carney in for a couple plays, not really having him do anything, then taking him out.
The only thing that makes sense is confirmation that he isn't ready. That's the only thing that makes sense. They knew Carney wasn't ready but desperation makes people do things they shouldn't and they put him in anyway.Like did the coaches do that to show that Carney isn’t the answer? Two weeks and that was what they came up with on O. Or to put it another way they decided to run our O like always.I’m convinced we could have won today if we had competent coaching. Obviously the end of the first half was diabolical. But we should have utilized more creative play calling with Villari wildcat, jet sweeps, misdirection, etc instead of putting everything on Rickie’s shoulders.
The defense did its job tonight 100%.
