Pitt / WVU

So Marquette is the 2nd best team in this conference?? who makes the tournament?

Us, Marquette, Gtown, Louisville, WVU, UConn... Pitt.

Thought it was funny to see the WVU mascot sitting next to the hoop holding a rifle when Pitt shot free throws.

I looked at the top 25 and couldnt believe Marquette was 15.

College basketball live just ripped the Big East a new one. Gottlieb made decent points but Laphonso Ellis says its because the elite teams (Syracuse and UCONN) have huge holes. Really, huge holes? Were in the same category as UCONN? He did proceed to analyze us as a team w/out Fab Melo but with Fab Melo I think were as elite as elite gets this year.

Without Fab Syracuse does have a weakness and if he does come back how long before he gets in playing shape again. Marquette is not eye test pretty and they fall double digit behind it seems quite often and fight back like hell and are a very good team, especially if the refs let them get physical. UConn looks like UConn of last year only without someone to lead them like their guard did last year, they got hot at the right time and that could happen with a few teams in the big east.

If Pitt can get to 9-9 in conference, they will get a bid. They WILL be looked at with Wooodall as opposed to the games he missed so the losses, while a lot, wont hurt them as bad as say annother bubble team without the injury situation.

That's my thinking as well. I won't be at all surprised if they do it.
