We need something resembling an offense. As others have said, we're too easy to defend. Now that we're in ACC play, the teams know us and the coaches are generally better. You can't necessarily get away with the same stuff you did in OOC.

Isn't this exactly what we are doing for next season? Bazley is one of the most polished scorers at the HS level and Carey seems to be getting better and better by the game and is an actual PG, it will be interesting to see how Buddy is used, I wouldn't mind him getting minutes if he can handle himself on the defensive side of the ball.

JB doesn't want to because of "muh zone". Seriously, we are a brand school but recruit guys like HW and Chukwu? We should be going after all the 5 stars and 4 stars within a 800 mile radius at a minimum. On rare occasions should we actually sign a 3 star player. so far we signed HW and buddy. OB is 4 star talent BTW

So true. And, JB states in his presser that our offense is a problem. Really JB, you're the captain of the ship and brought in the deckhands...

The problem is we do nothing differently.
Teams aren’t stupid. They scout the opponent.
Battle doesn’t pass.
Howard is sloppy with the ball.
They are our 2 main cogs.
We don’t have post offense so teams flood the paint and let us shoot the ball.

Watch the top teams on offense and us totally different. JB is Smart and knows this but won’t change.

Our offense is so easy to defend its frustrating.

Brissett will miss, don't touch him because he'll make free throws.
The 72 guy will miss a dunk
Washington won't shoot.

Pretty sure Kansas and Michigan State were recruiting Chukwu when he was transferring too.

This seems so appropriate for this thread...kid is gunna go down as nys all time scorer and is crazy offensively skilled and lives in our backyard BUT hes not 6'5 with a crappy handle and has a jump shot, shoots better then 28% from 3 and can make a layup so obviously we wouldn't want him!

Syracuse should be recruiting the next available players every single year. Zero excuses not to. We either are an elite school or not.
