Orange eyes, Orange Cheers, today Orange Nation cries Orange tears,

The Legend, the myth, the man, epitomized the superfan,

Although you are not with us now, we share your love, we'll make you proud,

The pain will lessen as the days pass, but your legacy is one that will forever last,

Online or in person, you were a treat my friend,

We love you Dan, until we meet again.

I never thought I could shed tears for someone I've never met, but Dan proved me wrong. I hope he left us knowing just how widespread his influence in the Orange Nation was.

Thank you all so much. This poem was something that I felt like I needed to do, and it did make me feel better after I wrote it. It was my way of describing how I felt, and I'm glad that so many appreciated it and connected with it. Some schools preach Family, and it may be true in a lot of cases, but around here we live it. The sense of pride I have in being a part of this family is immense, and I love each and every one of you like family. We all lost a brother yesterday, one of the best we had. We were all blessed by his presence, privileged for his wisdom, and humbled by his dedication. May your heaven be eternally Orange, Dan. #InspiredByDan
