Poetry in Moten..

Just had this shared in my fraternity brother text group.

Apologies if already posted, but -
This is pretty awesome.

always found it a tad distasteful that the ACC chose to honor Derrick Coleman as an ACC LEGEND in 2015. never played a tip in that conference . have they ever offered that honor to lawrence moten ? he's our all time leading scorer.

FYI - they are cheaper on Fanatics directly and free shipping. Ordering from Cuse costs more but it’s all coming from the same place….

Until this thread I’d forgotten about the TO in the Arkansas game. Wasn’t even upset at him about it then, we’d never been close in that game without Moten.

The closest I ever sat at a game at the Dome was our 1995 game beating Nova on a last minute three by Moten. It was so magical and effortless, like no pressure at all in the biggest moment. And you knew the shot was going in. That’s how I always think of him, going up smooth for that last shot right in front of me. RIP.

We were at Disneyworld for that game and the announcers said that Luke Jackson had taken the TO - can’t recall when they corrected themselves to say it was Moten. It was hard to blame Lawrence Moten, like you said, where would we have been without him. He was so smooth, effortless and great for us. I remember early in his career he developed a bald spot on his head and it was said it was from the stress/pressure he put on himself. It disappeared later in his career here, outwardly he never showed the pressure he had embraced at SU.
