I do this knowing full well he could have pulled up. Look at that picture linked, balls out of dungys hand, the guys lining him up for the kill shot. Screw him. No sympathy, no mercy if I'm on that field.

It was a blatant cheap shot, one of the worst I have seen. I am a kid from the 70s, I saw Jack Tatum and others, it was that kind of dirty hit. I agree, screw him indeed.

I'll be honest. It was brutal and I think revenge is in order. But I'd rather see Dungey hang 90 on them, then anything dirty.
Yeah as the op suggested nothing dirty rather clean and fair beat the crap of him physically. He at least showed some level of remorse so nothing cheap. That said this whole episode (from this article at least) is emblematic of how skewed things are these days where the perpetrator is trying to make himself out to be the victim more than the real victim!

If I see this guy flat on his back (from a clean hit) it will be a good day in the dome Saturday. Their coach might be wise to limit his reps as this game has the potential of getting incredibly intense.

Let me put it this way...Jack Tatum was my inspiration when on the field.

Disagree...dirty can be fun and necessary to send a clear message

Oh, yeah - I got no problem with a good clean hit. Or ten.

You can't reciprocate for every wrong done to you on the field but I feel like this kid went above and beyond in trying to injure Dungy. He singled himself out with his actions. Hope he enjoys the game this weekend, there might not be anything special planned for him but we all know his number and opportunity will come knocking.
