Possibility of College Gameday at SU/Miami

I’m kinda leaning Army- Navy as far as what college football is all about.At least it should be but you are probably more accurate because nowadays it’s all about the cash and we all know A&M and Texas have the cash.

Yeah I was responding to what college football is all about.He said Texas vs Texas A&M exemplifies what college football is all about and I like to think it’s more like Army vs Navy or at least should be

Every time the board starts talking about Gameday the team goes out and poops all over itself - every - single - time.

Please just stop.

They’re not going to win out. They’ll hopefully win most and have a great season.

But everyone - for the love of god - stop with the ’n Gameday nonsense.

This is exactly why I started a thread Sunday on this topic once I saw a couple people saying such things.

Miami loses one ACC game, before our game
Clemson loses 1 more ACC game
Pitt losses 2 more ACC games

The ACC standings going into the final week are
SMU 7-0
Miami 6-1
Clemson 6-2 (and done)
Cuse 5-2

If we were to win, Miami, Clemson and SU are all 6-2. We would have the tiebreaker in that situation since Miami did not play Clemson. First tie breaker would be best record against the tied teams.
We would be 1-0, Clemson 0-0 and Miami 0-1... we go to the ACC championship game... and the Miami Cuse game is essentially a playoff game. Game Day would come for that.

Even if L'ville wins out and it is a 4 team tie for second place. Cuse would be 1-0, L'ville would be 1-1, Miami would be 1-1 Clemson 0-1, and we win again.

I don't think common opp thing works unless you have common opp.

Since the odds are multi team ties wont, it will probably go to combined Win % of conf opp.

VT needs to Beat Clem and lose one
Clem needs to lose to VT and Pitt
Pitt needs to lose to Virg/BC
Lou needs to Pitt
Miami needs to lose to GT/SU and win the rest

that way Lou/Pitt/Clem/VT/Wake all have 3 losses
and we win the Miami h2h

Now if SMU wants to lose its last 3 thats fine too.

If we beat the Vols maybe a game late September vs an ACC opponent like Pitt or UNC
