Given the various rumors circulating, it makes me think that if Notre Dame goes to the Pinstripe, we go to the Beef. If Notre Dame goes south, then it's the Pinstripe for SU. It doesn't seem to matter for us if Rutgers wins or loses. I think if the Pinstripe doesn't get ND, they'd like to have SU-RU.

I'm not going to lie, if the end result is that we play a bowl game against Buttgers... geez, I don't know. I hope we get a lot out of the extra practice reps.

Ugh. Bowl games are supposed to be like a fling in Vegas. Not like a retread with the ugly housewife next door.

In our position, there's nothing wrong with retreads. ;)

Why wouldn't you want to play Rutgers? You wouldn't want the chance to beat them?
They did beat us the last two times we played them. You wouldn't want to avenge those losses? I was at the game last year and walking out of that stadium after that loss was a walk of shame, to say the least.

I've already forgotten about them. They're irrelevant to us.

I gotta think the players would like to go anywhere but the Pinstripe. Kids want to experience different venues and cities. NYC and the same old bowl is not going to excite them.

I disagree. I realize our coaches are tapping into others areas to recruit, but you don't regard Rutgers as competition on the recruiting trail? If they're not, they should be. What I mean by that is we should be trying to recruit NY/NJ and we should be trying to beat Rutgers for recruits. If we beat them in a bowl game, you don't think that would help us with NY/NJ recruits?

Plus, I hate Rutgers and would love to beat their brains in.

It helps us with recruiting I guess. Doesn't mean the game does anything for me. I was excited about the ACC in part because it meant we got to play new crappy teams instead of the crappy teams we're used to. So, if our reward for competing in the ACC is to be faced against one of those old crappy teams... ugh.

Look, I'll freely admit you're thinking much bigger picture than I am here. For me the big picture was settled when Paris landed in the end zone. I'd rather see the team go to some weird bowl and play against some weird team than do the Pinstripe against Rutgers.

It's all moot anyway when Buttgers loses this weekend. And may I add, I find it funny as Hell that UCF has accomplished more in one year than Butters did in 23 years in the Big East. Ha, more than Buttgers did in 130 years. Nice job scarlet guys, nice job.

Awesome way of putting it. I rather have rutgers not make a bowl but if we play them, is be alright with that too.
