Dion Wilson is solid. Jobity, Jaquez and Perry make plays, just not consistently. That's why we rotate a lot of guys, to keep them fresh.

DeLauriesiers and Bryant are pretty good LBs.

Deuce is over-rated, and too small at safety. The secondary has size, but is really young.
LB's haven't shown me a thing outside of Antoine's last 2 plays vs UConn. I would do my best to work in Tremble. At least he has physical attributes that pop. Easily weakest position group. DL is the definition of mediocre. I don't think Duce is that bad. Samuels has elite skills and will only get better, but tough to make a huge difference from corner. I would say this is the least talented defense I can remember and the DC doesn't help.

Really like the offense though.

Colgate is Terrible, not sure what you take away from this game.

OK, let's nip this in the bud. Colgate is not a terrible team. They are an FCS team.

They played 2 FCS teams before tonight against us.

One game, they were a 15 point underdog to Monmouth, and lost by 3 late.

They were a 20 point underdog against Villanova, who won 10 games last year in FCS, and lost by a touchdown.

Their coach won the Division 3 national championship last year.

They have big receivers, and very good size for an FCS school.

If we had kept Watson, our D line would be much better.

I saw Fred Smoot in college play against BYU live and that was the first and only time I've ever seen a player completely dominate a game from the cornerback position. It was insane. It was like there were three Fred Smoots on the field. Somehow he completely blanketed his guy and was all over the field at the same time. Never seen anything like it.

I don't think that's Samuels. At least not yet.

- Hard to analyze against FCS. You can’t win sometimes… you blow them out and it’s Colgate and you give them some points and it’s Colgate.

- I get there was an opportunity for younger players with the matchup. However, the younger players are absolutely exceptional and if you take a step back and realize this team probably will treading water to 6-6 at best, you might see what Fran is building here. It’s going to be sick.

- Samuel is clearly a top SEC level talent. He has already improved every week. Some good breakups. As for the rest of the DBs, expect a ton of pass interference calls against Cuse this year.

- I didn’t like the pressure early Colgate was getting. They are a horrible pass rush team even at the FCS level, things improved as the game went on.

- Angeli was great. You give him time to scan and he knows where to go with the ball. Rickie was also fine once he settled in, smart of HCFB to take him out for a sec there.

- The before half d is abysmal. There is a huge emphasis it seems from erob on keeping everything in front of them… it almost cost them last week and it probably will by the time the season is over. There are going to be a number of close games and you can’t just spot teams points even if it is 3 before half.

- Catch the football.

- Gill was great needless to say.

- Hill obviously isn’t Tucker yet… but he sure looked shifty.

- Clemson regardless of what happens tomorrow is more than beatable.

We didn’t get the run game going which is disappointing. I think Nixon needs less carries.

Why is it that when we blitz it is picked up with ease but when others blitz us our OL acts like when Jackie Moon invented the allyoop?

If you told me Reese had only 2 sacks after the first 3 games I would be disappointed. The TEAM only has two right now.

A blind squirrel should get 2-3 TFL a game. It is almost impossible to achieve what we do with our front 6/7.

Yup, well said.. let’s also make something clear. Most of the points came 2nd half to third string dbs who clearly need to work on a lot. I’m not too worried here point wise

That low center of gravity had me thinking Tucker too.

I envy your short memory.

if it's broken, they might be able to tape it, but it'll be tough with a broken finger, lots of pain if the ball hits it and he'll be unable to catch the ball with his hands, he'll have to trap it against his body. It may seem strange but having a broken finger makes it harder to run your fastest, your fingers move around as you swing your arms. A broken finger is no good.

Revis island was a great thing, but they also had a Buddy Ryan defense that could get to the QB and capitalize on taking away the other teams best WR. Again, not even close to that, but he's impressive and doesn't hurt to have a high upside corner.

And only 1 lb recruit in the 2026 class.

Very strange, considering it's arguably the easiest position to recruit for. I know we typically only play 2 LB's, but it's amazing with a roster this size we don't have at least 1 dude at the position.
