And then promptly turned it over.Cole came in for Sy because of foul shooting since they would start being aggressive and fouling.

He was brutal last night. Fortunately everybody else was decent-good, and Jesse and Joe were excellent. And then promptly turned it over.
nah I dont think so...I think there is more than enough scoring on the team. Most p5 teams dont ahve 5 double digit scorers. I think the reason for these lulls is going away from what works, poor shot selection and scheming, and just overall stretches of poor decision making. its as if the entire team turns off a the same time. it happens every game seemingly. This is because Of the lack of bench scoring
Tough to say even if they win another 9...i have the feeling that this team will be ncaa tourney caliber by the end of the season but the record will not reflect that and they wont get in
well im not talking about resume...i just mean real-time level of play.Tough to say even if they win another 9...
You can only play who's in front of you, but it seems like the ACC this year is a lot of sub-par teams beating up on each other.

I see improvement...i see the team ironing out the kinks...
but the ncaa tourney selects on the entire season not current form
ACC will probably get 5 spots, not counting a potential bid stealer from the ACCT. Syracuse has to finish 5th or higher to get a bid, or win the ACCT.well im not talking about resume...i just mean real-time level of play.

Cole and Jimmy both are ideal sixth men who happen to start. They both play hard and can give you quick spurts of offense and occasionally both have good games deserving big minutes.
Your ideal starting lineup is Sy, Joe, Buddy, q of the 3 forwards and Jesse.
For defense you need to rotate the 1 3 1 in depending on the match up given the challenges with Joe defending the 3.
Believe it or not, in last night game as in the FSU game as well as for the season, Sy has the lowest defensive rating as well as only having better offensive rating than Frank and Benny.
Not disputing the defensive ratings, but would note that Jackson, Joe, III, and Symir are all bad by the numbers I am seeing.Believe it or not, in last night game as in the FSU game as well as for the season, Sy has the lowest defensive rating as well as only having better offensive rating than Frank and Benny.

Do you know or can you explain how they derive the defensive rating?

Stone cold. Classic.Okay, the win was nice, but this Childress guy is a revelation. Talks about the actual game and actually has done his research on the two teams
I felt the same way. I loved him, considering how bad the usual ACC network analysts have been. He doesn’t go off topic/on endless tangents. Talks about the game in front of him and doesn’t make it about him. Tries to find the positive for both teams and has respect to Syracuse and JB. Has good insights. He’s of course the former Wake star from the 90s, was an assistant on Danny Manning’s Wake teams, and his son Brandon played for him at Wake a few years ago. They need to keep him around. He’s better than most of the analysts they trot out there.Okay, the win was nice, but this Childress guy is a revelation. Said this in the game thread. He was the best I’ve heard in a long time.Okay, the win was nice, but this Childress guy is a revelation. Talks about the actual game and clearly has done his research on the two teams
